How to kick a soccer ball correctly

To properly kick a football (or soccer) ball, one must have good form, timing, and technique. These steps will show you how to kick a ball.

  1. Place your feet shoulder width apart, with your knees slightly bent and your toes pointed in the forward direction.
  2. Bend your left leg below the knee, and place your left shoe against your right thigh. Your weight should fall on your back leg.
  3. Keep your front leg straight in front. Keep your hips straight and your upper body relaxed.
  4. Move your kicking leg upwards and around until you reach the top of your ball.
